“Last Beatles song” comes thanks to artificial intelligence

Paul McCartney has announced one last song by the Beatles – which was only possible thanks to artificial intelligence.
Sir Paul McCartney (80) has announced a very last Beatles song. A recording of the singer John Lennon (1940-1980), who died in 1980, served as the basis for the new song, like the last surviving member of the “Fab Four” alongside Ringo Starr (82). revealed in a BBC radio show. With the help of artificial intelligence, it became possible to save Lennon’s vocal part for the production of the new song.
John Lennon’s voice on a ‘shabby cassette’
McCartney did not reveal the title of the planned release, but the “BBC” suspects that it could be a composition called “Now And Then”. She sang to Lennon in 1978 during a private recording session at his New York apartment. The piece was recorded in poor sound quality on a ghetto blaster, which was standard at the time.
“[Peter Jackson] was able to isolate John’s voice from a shabby cassette,” McCartney reported on BBC 4 radio. An artificial intelligence specially trained on the Beatles’ voices, which appeared in the course of the production of Jacksons (61) in 2021 documentary series “The Beatles: Get Back” was able to extract Lennon’s “pure” voice from the technically inferior recording.
McCartney was then able to continue producing the track in the studio. This has already been completed and, according to the star, will be published later this year.
The Beatles last released new music over 27 years ago
The Beatles last released new music in the mid-1990s. The singles “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” were released in 1995 and 1996. They were also based on private recordings by John Lennon.
