Paul Weller and more: There is also new music in Corona year 2020

Although the corona virus crisis has mixed album releases, there will be some music highlights in 2020.

Two of the greatest living songwriters have just released a new album: Bob Dylan (79) released "Rough And Rowdy Ways", his first album with his own songs in eight years – in the midst of the corona crisis. And Neil Young (74) decided to share songs with the public again. "Homegrown", however, is material that the Canadian recorded in 1974 but never immortalized on an album. According to Young, the pieces would have been too intimate at the time, but now they are available online in his freely accessible "Neil Young Archives".

There will be new music from Paul Weller (62) from July 3rd. According to "True Meanings" (2018), the productive Briton follows up with "On Sunset" and presents himself familiar and experimental at the same time – a contemporary Britpop document by Modfathers. Deep Purple's hard rock followers will probably be replenished on August 7th. Then "Whoosh!" appear, the now 21st studio album by Ian Gillan (74) and others. Not only classic rock riffs are waiting for them, but also trips to other genres.

Double female power

The new LP by singer Alanis Morissette (46), "Such Pretty Forks In The Road", expected to be on July 31, and the fourth work by vocal miracle Adele (32) are also eagerly awaited. Morissette releases new music after a long musical break – her last studio album comes from 2012 – and health setbacks. There was already a first foretaste with her song "Reasons I Drink".

And even Adele, who was recently the focus of public attention with her slim figure, doesn't want to keep her fans waiting any longer. However, they still have to be patient: Adele's manager just announced that the successor to "25" will not appear in September as originally planned, but will be released at a later, as yet unknown date.
