That is her most important message to women

Most of us know it: Sometimes we feel really comfortable in our body and then we give mirrors a wide berth. Book author and presenter Paula Lambert also lived through the scenario for a long time. In an interview, the PrimaDonna brand ambassador talks about self-confidence, body awareness and her biggest lingerie failure.

If you feel comfortable with yourself and your body, you will radiate it! Paula Lambert is convinced of that. She herself has come a long way in learning what it takes to love yourself and your own body. She wants to pass this lesson on to all women out there.

For years, the sexpert and author has been breaking taboos and speaking openly about supposed weaknesses. Her collection together with PrimaDonna, for example, is now intended to encourage women to talk about their bodies and larger breasts. Paula also doesn’t mince her words on this subject and starts chatting honestly. In the interview, we wanted to know from her how we could learn a slice of her self-confidence.

Guido: How did you learn to accept yourself and love your body?
Paula Lambert: It was a very long process, because in the beginning I didn’t love or accept myself at all. When I started writing books on the subject, my journey really began. In short: years of therapy, I have read many books about it and have dealt intensively with the topic. Until you finally understand that you’re okay.

What is your most important principle that you would like to pass on to women?
If you feel you have weaknesses or crookedness in you, then out with it! Don’t hide them, don’t keep them to yourself. We don’t have to hide. I would always carry injuries in front of me. This can also have the advantage that the people who want to hurt you do so and immediately sort themselves out of your life. This not only strengthens you, but also your circle of friends. The people who want to stay stay.

“I can’t wear that with a big bust.” We often hear this sentence from women. What would you advise them?
The main reason I entered into this cooperation with PrimaDonna is that I know how stupid it sometimes feels to have very large breasts. And how problematic that is. The topic is also not given enough space in society. But in fact it is so essential that you simply accept and acknowledge this part of your own body. Now, for the first time, I have a bra that supports me – in the truest sense of the word. It gives you a different body feeling.

You just said how important good underwear is to you. What was your biggest laundry fail?
Well, I once had a competition with my sister about who wore the ugliest lingerie. And when I was still in the dating circus, I forgot that I was wearing one of those competition underpants that very day. It was a thong with little fabric. It had a huge heart on it and tulle border on Venus mound.

The pandemic has made many of us even more insecure about ourselves. How do you deal with such fears?
I’ve also noticed that it’s harder for me to be in a large crowd. The social battery simply drains faster. And I think we need to practice that again. Time has also taught me to be a bit more selective about who I want to spend my time with and who not. And I find that very valuable.

Thanks for the interview, dear Paula!

Guido
