In a video, she writes that it is now the anniversary of her stroke: “And I’m still here.” She also explains: “Yes, I’m still here, again. How many times do I cheat death? I almost died from a hair dye allergy. I have food allergies, survived domestic violence and rape.”

The actress continued, “I was attacked by a crazy homeless person and almost died and I’m still here. I’m really thankful, especially for all my rescue dogs that are over there.”

Perrette added, “A year ago I had a massive stroke. Before that I lost so many loved ones family and friends, daddy and then cousin Wayne.” Nevertheless, she was “still so grateful, still full of faith”.

After leaving “Navy CIS”, the actress got a leading role in “Broke” in 2019 alongside Jaime Camil, 49, and Natasha Leggero, 48. The series ran for a 13-episode season in 2020.
