When is Pax Dei released in early access and for how long?

The first question we are going to answer is the release date of Pax Dei. Indeed, the wait is about to end for players. After several access phases in Closed Alpha, the game is finally released in public early access.

This exit will take place tomorrow, June 18, 2024. The developers also specified that this release would take place simultaneously around the world. For us French, this corresponds to 3 p.m. It is from this moment that the servers will open their doors.

What is certain is that this early access of Pax Dei will last for a while. Indeed, on the site’s FAQ, it is indicated that the game should remain in early access, at least until June 2025even if obviously many updates are planned between now and then.

Three packs available for early access

Precisely this early access, it will not be free. In fact, you will have to purchase a “founder pack” which will allow you to play Pax Dei. In all, There are three different packs offered to you, ranging from 40 to 100€.

No matter which pack you choose, you will have access to the game and all its features during this year of early access. Of course, the most expensive packs will have some advantagessuch as exclusive recipes for a pavilion or even a Wyvern construction set.

Another advantage, this time not insignificant, is the difference in plots of land allocated. These are the plots that will allow you to build in the game. 1 will be given to players who have purchased the €40 pack, 2 for those who have the €60 pack and finally 4 for those with the €100 pack.

What economic model for Pax Dei?

You have surely noticed that we told you in the previous section that this founder’s pack gave you access to the early access version of the game. The reason is simple, it is indicated on the Pax Dei website that this version does not guarantee you access to the final version!

Indeed, if the economic model of the game upon its release has not yet been definitively decided, the developers make it clear that players will surely have to make a first purchase of the game and also pay recurring fees, surely following a subscription system.

The developers also conclude this part by telling you that “The Founder’s Pack you choose does not commit you to anything beyond Early Access.” They also specify that as the game gets closer to release, they will clarify this economic model.

Game resets may take place during early access

Finally, last important point, it was announced that resets would surely take place during the early access phase of Pax Dei. Indeed, according to the developers, this will be a necessary step, with regard to certain big updates to the game in the months to come.

This means in concrete terms that when these resets take place, players will have to start the game from scratch. However, it could also be that these resets are partial and only affect the plots or the players. Moreover, it has been confirmed that a global reset will take place before the final release of the game and that it will be the last.
