Pax Massilia on Netflix: “I fractured all my ribs on the first day”, Tewfik Jallab shares his painful memories of filming

Netflix has just released its new detective series “Pax Massilia”. Tewfik Jallab plays one of the main roles in this fiction and revealed to AlloCiné that he was injured at the start of filming…

Since Wednesday December 6, 2023, Olivier Marchal (36 Quai des Orfèvres) has been offering Netflix users the opportunity to discover his new series entitled Pax Massilia. In this fairly effective fiction, the public also finds in the credits the actor Tewfik Jallab (Gears, Black Hearts) in the role of the cop Lyès.

Danger hovers over Marseille

This tough guy leads a team of hotheaded police officers with sometimes dubious methods who must stop the attempt of a violent drug dealer to take over Marseille. Lyès and his super team welcome a recruit among them at the same time and this one does not seem to have arrived there by chance…

Met by AlloCiné, Tewfik Jallab returned with us to the filming of Pax Massilia in the Marseille city. The actor notably revealed to us why this whole project quickly became a very big challenge for him: because of an injury!

All the sequences were a challenge!

The main person involved told us: “Our first day of filming was a very special day… We were filming on a beach not far from here, in Marseille, and our characters had to pretend to play football, incognito. However, thirty seconds after the first action, I jump in the air to play ball, I fall and I fracture all my ribs…

I had to spend all these months of filming with less ribs, remembered not without pain Tewfik Jallab. So all the sequences were a challenge for me, in fact (laughs) Being able to say my lines and breathe without it showing on the screen was my challenge!

In Pax Massilia, he plays alongside Jeanne Goursaud (Alice), Nicolas Duvauchelle (Murillo), Lani Sogoyou (Audrey), Olivier Barthelemy (Arno), Idir Azougli (Tatoo), Florence Thomassin (curator Fabiani) and even Samir Boitard (Ali).

The six episodes that make up season 1 of Pax Massilia are available now and exclusively on Netflix.
