The 2023 summer sales are fast approaching. Each year, it is an unmissable event for traders who hope to sell their stocks but also for consumers who wish to do good business while having fun at affordable prices. This year, the kick-off will be given on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at 8 a.m. and will last four weeks, ending on Tuesday July 25, 2023. This concerns the online sales but also in most physical signs. But beware, certain geographical areas are out of step with the dates set at national level.
In Corsica, the sales will take place from Wednesday July 12 at 8 a.m. to Tuesday August 8. In Guadeloupe, the dates are also different since they will begin on Saturday, September 30 at 8 a.m. and end on Friday, October 28. A shift “become obsolete”
If these departments see their sales dates shifted, for the first time this year, the Alpes-Maritimes have succeeded in obtaining an alignment of their dates for summer sales on national dates. According to newspaper information Nice morningIt was twenty years that the summer sales were staggered to live to the rhythm of the Julytist clientele. “A way for them to extend the sales a little longer at the heart of the season”, explains the newspaper. Through a press release, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Nice Côte d’Azur announced: “This discrepancy established twenty years ago had become obsolete in view of the evolution of purchasing habits. Purchasing behaviors have changed in particular driven by the development of e-commerce. And a form of unfair competition has set in to the detriment of local traders.” A statement also shared by the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, who had sent a letter to Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy and Finance, to change the dates of the sales. This year, the sales will therefore begin from Wednesday June 28 to Tuesday July 25 in the Alpes-Maritimes.
