As for its release date, you shouldn’t expect to see the film before 2025 given that production should start this year, as Steven Knight explained to Radio Times :
“I’m working out the final details of the script. I’m living a daydream. I’m re-reading everything that’s already written and I’m thinking it’s going to be great. The plan is to start filming in the middle of the “year 2024.”

Steven Knight has shared little about the plot of this long-awaited film, other than that it is a “untold story that occurred during World War II, which will involve the Peaky Blinders”.

It is interesting to see how the creator of Peaky Blinders will explore World War II and how the Shelby clan will play a role in this tragic period of history. Fans also expect to know what Tommy Shelby will become, after the shocking events at the end of the series, and if he will take the path to redemption so much mentioned by Steven Knight.
Cast: Who stars in the Peaky Blinders movie?
For the moment, no actor has officially confirmed their presence in the casting of this Peaky Blinders film. But the only one to have spoken publicly and favorably is Cillian Murphy, the interpreter of Thomas Shelby.
Without confirming his participation, the actor explained to BBC Radio 4 : “If there’s more story to tell and if Stephen Knight delivers as good a script as he usually does, then I’ll be there. I mean, if we want to see a 50-year-old Tommy Shelby, I’ll be there. We’ll do it.”
All that remains for Steven Knight is to present his script and convince Cillian Murphy to take part in the adventure, because it is difficult – but not impossible – to imagine a Peaky Blinders film without the Irish actor.
