LThe images are chilling. A viral video on social networks shows a motorist at the wheel catching two pedestrians to drag them on the ground, in Noisy-le-Sec (Seine-Saint-Denis) on Sunday January 9. Two men have been indicted and imprisoned in this case, announced the Bobigny prosecution, Thursday, January 13. The motorist was indicted for willful violence resulting in incapacity for work (ITT) for more than eight days, in a meeting, with a weapon – in this case the vehicle – and with premeditation, as well as for willful violence in a meeting without incapacity for work, detailed the prosecutor of Bobigny, Eric Mathais.
He is also indicted for driving despite “the judicial suspension of his driving license”, he added. The second man, the front passenger of the car who filmed the scenes and went himself to the police station, was indicted for complicity and for having broadcast these images. Both were remanded in custody, said Eric Mathais.
A third protagonist, rear passenger of the vehicle, presented himself Thursday spontaneously to the police station of Noisy-le-Sec, where he was placed in police custody. The amateur video, subtitled “crazy laughter of the evening”, sparked an outcry on social networks and was the subject of multiple reports from Internet users on Pharos, the platform for reporting illegal online content and behavior.

The scenes provoke the hilarity of the people in the car. A 64-year-old man, named Ali, filed a complaint against the occupants of the car. He was prescribed 45 days of ITT, suffering in particular from a broken shoulder and foot.
“The authors had asked him for a cigarette. When he handed it to the driver, the latter grabbed him by the arm, held him back and started accelerating, ”described the Bobigny prosecutor on Tuesday. The second victim visible on the video has not been identified to date. A young woman, who does not appear in the images but says she suffered similar events, also filed a complaint.
