Where is Peng Shuai? After the tennis player disappeared, superstars like Serena Williams and Alexander Zverev are now also getting in touch.
The Chinese doubles specialist and professional tennis player Peng Shuai (35) has been missing for days. She had previously accused ex-Vice Prime Minister Zhang Gaoli, 75, of sexual abuse. A corresponding social media post is said to have been deleted a few minutes later and since then there has been no trace of the Wimbledon winner from 2013.
Even an alleged statement by Shuai, which the athlete is said to have sent to the WTA players’ organization, has so far not shed light on the darkness. It states that she is safe, is recovering at home, everything is fine and that the allegations of sexual assault are not true after all. Alexander Zverev also expresses himself
When asked about the case, the German tennis star Alexander Zverev (24) also commented. in a statement in the “Bild” newspaper: “Everyone in the tennis circus has noticed that she has disappeared. But the details are very vague.” In his opinion, the Chinese government “leaves nothing out”. He hopes that she will be found soon.
