Pensions and special schemes: debates skate in the Assembly

Mutual accusations of obstruction and annoyance: the debates skated Wednesday afternoon in the Assembly on pension reform, with a dialogue of the deaf between the presidential camp and the left on the extinction of special regimes.

Like the evening before, the Nupes coalition defended the maintenance of the special scheme at the RATP, for reasons of attractiveness and hardship.

It is a legitimate recognition for a difficult job, in the stale air of the metro, while the RATP lacks thousands of driving agents, estimated the Insoumis Paul Vannier.

The Rassemblement national also defended this special scheme because of the social climate and the difficulty of recruiting drivers at the RATP.

Macronist rapporteur Stephanie Rist has claimed the reverse of its phasing out in the name of fairness and justice with bus and train drivers employed in other companies.

Between points of order and accusations of obstruction, the examination of the amendments has made little progress.

In the presidential camp, the MoDem Erwan Balanant reproached the left for its tunnels of identical amendments. On the far right, Laure Lavalette (RN) denounced the flagrant offense of legislative incontinence of the Nupes.

The day after another day of mobilization in the street, the left returned the responsibility for the blockage to the government, asking it to withdraw the bill.

Article 1 of the pension reform provides for the main existing special schemes, including those of the RATP, the electricity and gas industries and the Banque de France, to be gradually phased out.

More broadly, the deputy RN Thomas Mnag challenged the government on the arduousness, by describing the knees of his father roofer which each evening double in volume and his fingers burned on the roofs.

The important thing is that he does not leave, even at age 60, with pain in his knees, replied Stphanie Rist (Renaissance), pleading for more prevention. My father myself ran a bistro, worked seven days a week. No one here has a monopoly on the dad who suffered in his life!.
