Lhe government will unveil on Tuesday January 10 the content of a pension reform for which the assistance of LR deputies will be essential. Freshly elected boss of the right-wing party, Eric Ciotti, in the columns of Sunday newspaper, said he was ready to “vote a fair reform”, thinking he had been heard by the government. Eric Ciotti considers the reform essential but invites the government to “mitigate the brutality”, in the midst of “economic and social crisis”.
“The budgetary, demographic and economic situation imposes this reform” and “I therefore wish to be able to vote for a fair reform which saves our pay-as-you-go pension system”, declares in this interview the deputy, whose group in the National Assembly holds the key. of an adoption without the constitutional weapon of 49.3.
For Ciotti, the reform must “spread over two five-year terms”
“Politically, the right of government has always supported the need for a pension reform which leads to working a little more”, and voting for it is “a question of coherence and responsibility”, supports the elected representative of the Alps- Maritimes. According to him, it must “spread over two five-year terms”, with an increase in the legal age of departure to 63 in 2027 then 64 in 2032. This is what the head of government could announce on Tuesday, after having considered 65 years. The minimum pension of 1,200 euros programmed by the executive must apply to new entrants and also “retroactively to current retirees who benefit from the most modest pensions”, which “will be one of the conditions of our vote”, warns the leader of the right-wing party.
