Performances in good shape at Poujoulat

All signals are green for Poujoulat. The group recorded a record increase in its turnover for the 2022-2023 financial year ended March 31, of 33.1%, to reach 402.1 million euros. Dynamic in France and abroad, the industrialist is on all fronts. “It should be noted a remarkable performance internationally”, rejoices the Chairman and CEO Frédéric Coirier about the Chimneys branch of the group, whose activity grew by 20% over the period. Already the French leader in domestic biofuels, the majority family-owned company is taking a new step by establishing itself as the European number one on the chimney and flue market.

“historic year”

It is also a “historic year in terms of activity” for the second division, Bois-Energie, whose turnover rose by 57.8%. The price factor, particularly for wood pellets, is one of the vectors of this remarkable progression but is not the only one. Higher volumes for both business segments also drove business growth. The increased demand on the chimney market, despite the mild winter, is a direct result of the energy crisis which has forced European countries to modify their energy mix to meet household needs. In this respect, the group has been able to meet market requirements by offering biofuels that comply with new regulatory requirements, are ready to use and available throughout the country.

The growth in the group’s turnover has exceeded all expectations and should undoubtedly enable it to achieve the profitability objectives planned for this financial year 2022-2023. For the future, the company wants to be optimistic and intends to confirm its growth dynamic while preserving the quality of its services. “Energy efficiency and the development of renewable energies, priorities of the group, still offer many opportunities in the future” declares Frédéric Coirier. A way of affirming the group’s desire to take advantage of countries’ desire to benefit from a diversified and resilient energy mix.
