For a few years now, Sony has got into the habit of bringing its greatest hits released on Playstation to PC. PC players were able to discover on their machines Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, without forgetting the two Spider-Man games from Insomniac and recently a certain God of War.

But from this March 28, 2023pcists will be able to lay their hands on a cult license, a planetary and popular phenomenon: The Last of Us. And yes, while the HBO series exploded all the audience counters, the first episode arrives on Steam and the Epic Games Store this next Tuesday.

Note that this is the same remake released on PS5 in August 2022. A quality overhaul, welcomed in our columns during our test. After unveiling the minimum and recommended configurations of the title a few days ago, Naughty Dog and Sony have just presented the exclusive features of this port in a short video.

Unlimited FPS, Permadeath mode, here’s what’s new in The Last of Us PC

On the technical part, the manufacturer confirms the support of the AMD FSR 2.2 and Nvidia DLSS, the famous AI-assisted oversampling technologies. Enough to guarantee flawless fluidity, even if your equipment is limited.

Speaking of fluidity precisely, Naughty Dog announces an unlimited framerate on this version. In other words, you’ll be free to blow up the FPS counter, provided your setup obviously allows it. We continue this overview with support for ultrawide screens in 21: 9 and 32: 9 format. 3D audio is also planned.

In terms of controls, if the keyboard-mouse combo is obviously part of the game, it will also be possible to play The Last of Us with a myriad of controllers, the DualSense in mind. All orders will also be customizable.

Regarding the gameplay, PC players will be able to enjoy two additional game modes: SpeedRun modefor chrono addicts, and permadeath modefor those looking for a full-bodied challenge.
