Pernod Ricard aims for growth in the upper range of 4% to 7% in the medium term

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Pernod Ricard reiterated its medium-term financial ambitions on Wednesday ahead of a day dedicated to investors, during which the spirits group will present the implementation of a digital optimization of its brands and its distribution network.

As part of its “Transform & Accelerate” program presented in 2018, Pernod Ricard thus still forecasts annual growth in its turnover of 4% to 7% for the financial years 2022-2023 to 2024-2025, the group indicated. in a press release.

Pernod Ricard has, however, stated that it is aiming for “the upper part” of this range of forecasts, thanks in particular to the launch of a tool, called “Conviviality Platform”, which should allow the optimization of the potential of its brand portfolio and its network of distribution “thanks to the use of data”.

The implementation of this platform represents a “new step in its ‘Transform & Accelerate’ strategic plan covering the financial years 2022-2023 to 2024-2025”, indicated Pernod Ricard.

In addition, the group still expects, in the medium term, “an improvement in the operating margin of around 50-60 basis points per year, as soon as the turnover falls within the range of +4% to +7%”.

Pernod Ricard also reiterated its ambition to maintain “a high level of advertising and promotion expenditure, around 16% of turnover, with an improved return on investment thanks to new digital tools”.
