Pernod Ricard: investment of 238 ME for a distillery

(CercleFinance.com) – Pernod Ricard has announced that it will invest €238 million over five years to build a state-of-the-art distillery in Marion County (Kentucky) for Jefferson’s, its growing brand of bourbon.

This investment follows the recent announcement of increased investments by the Group (400 ME in total) aimed at increasing its production capacities in Ireland and Scotland and making them more sustainable.

The future Jefferson’s distillery should be the first of this size to obtain LEED certification in the United States, an internationally recognized distinction rewarding exemplary buildings in terms of health and energy efficiency.

The distillery and cellars will be equipped with low-emission technologies, including electrode boilers powered by certified renewable electricity replacing fossil fuels in the production process.
