Perpetrator arrested – bloody act in Vienna: innkeeper shot ex-partner


Relationship drama in a community building in Vienna-Brigittenau Thursday evening (see video above): Presumably out of raging jealousy, a 42-year-old took up arms and killed his ex-partner (35). The perpetrator is said to be the restaurateur who hit the headlines in connection with sexist statements.

In a bloody act in Vienna-Brigittenau, a restaurateur in the Winarsky-Hof in an apartment on Stiege 17 seriously injured his ex-partner with a gun on Thursday evening. The alleged perpetrator is believed to have shot the woman in the head and foot – the victim succumbed to his injuries a few hours after the attack.

Motive still unclear
The shooter was arrested, but could not be questioned due to his “physical condition” because he had lost consciousness during the police operation. He ended up in the hospital. What led to the bloody drama is still unclear. The fact is: The 35-year-old victim dragged himself out of the apartment into the open, where it collapsed …

“The scenes look ghostly”
The crime scene group of the Vienna police secured traces in the dark. “The scenes look spooky, everything feels so unreal,” said a witness at the “Krone” local inspection in Winarsky-Hof. The murder weapon was secured. The investigation into the drama is in full swing.
