An unknown perpetrator brutally beat up a Salzburg taxi driver on Friday night. He actually wanted to steal money from the man, but when he didn’t give him any money, the situation escalated.
Shortly before midnight, a man was sitting in his taxi at a taxi rank in Maxglan when a stranger opened the driver’s door and demanded cash. The taxi driver gave the perpetrator no money – then the stranger pulled him out of the car and missed him several punches in the face. Then he fled. Injured on the side of the road The taxi driver was injured on the side of the road. However, a car driver found him a short time later and immediately called the rescue service. The manhunt that has been initiated has so far been negative, but further investigations are being carried out.
