Rollback for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Through a Youtube video broadcast on the official channel of Atlus, the producer of Persona 4 Arena UltimateKazuhisa Wada, announces the upcoming arrival of netcode rollback for the fighting game :

“Hello, this is Kazuhisa Wada, the producer of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Thank you all for supporting Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. It’s been almost 10 years since Persona 4 Arena was released on PlayStation 3. When we announced the new ports, we were amazed and absolutely thrilled with your feedback. We were especially happy to see all the warm feedback from fans who have played Persona 4 Arena Ultimax in the past. As for the netcode rollback, we plan to roll out this feature this summer, so look forward to it. We can’t wait to see everyone having fun playing against each other.

We count on your continued support for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. See you next time ! “.

Good news for fighting game fans who were hoping for this feature for the title. In short, it is a technology widely favored by online competitors in order to play under optimal conditions, especially if you are facing people located on the other side of the globe. It thus avoids any problem related to delays which can be frustrating in the long run. Unfortunately, with this announcement, we understand that the Switch version won’t get the same treatment.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimate is expected on March 17 on PlayStation 4, Switch and PC (via Steam). The netcode rollback is planned for this summer without further details.
