"Saturday Night Live" came up with a Christmas parody. Pete Davidson wants a PS5 and Eminem is there too.

In a new parody of the US cult format "Saturday Night Live", Santa Claus gets his own "Stan". Based on the famous song of the same name by rapper Eminem (48) and the accompanying music video, actor and comedian Pete Davidson (27) slips into the role of Stu, an obsessed Santa fan who wants nothing more than a PlayStation 5 for Christmas.

While Davidson takes on the original role of Eminem as a rapper, the long-time hit guarantee appears himself at the end of the sketch. Stu gets nothing and doesn't get a present from Santa, while Eminem can look forward to the PS5 that Stu wanted. The singer Dido (48), on whose song "Thank You" the chorus of "Stan" is based, and Elton John (73), who performed the song with Eminem at the 2001 Grammys, are parodied.

What is a "Stan" and will the PS5 be available for Christmas?

The Eminem fan base has often referred to itself as "Stans" for some time. The term has even been found in the Oxford English Dictionary for a few years now as a description for an obsessed fan.

Like Stu, most gamers won't find a PS5 under the Christmas tree for Christmas. Since the demand for the new console is so high, it has not yet been possible for Sony to provide enough supplies. Although should according to the company "More PS5 stocks will arrive at retailers before the end of the year", but whether this can cover the entire demand and whether the consoles will then also be available in time for Christmas Eve is questionable.
