Suddenly it was dark: During yesterday’s edition of the news program “RTL aktuell”, the presenter Peter Kloeppel (62) suffered from a power failure. While he was just announcing a contribution about the space travel of the billionaire Richard Branson (70), all the lights in the studio surprisingly went out early on Sunday evening. “And if you can no longer see me, but hear me, then I can only tell you: The light has gone out in the studio. We’ll just keep going,” said the anchorman with a confident tone.
But even after the announced one-player, the lighting was not functional again. Kloeppel knew what to do, however, and simply grabbed an iPhone in an emergency. “We have a bit of light here, I have a cell phone here. We’ll try it out with it,” said the moderator, explaining his experiment. As a result, he shone himself in the face with the flashlight function of the smartphone. After another clip, a larger light was apparently organized in the studio, which Kloeppel now showed better illuminated in the still completely dark studio.
“I don’t need this every day”
