Peter Maffay: New duet album should be released at the end of November

A very special surprise for the fans: Peter Maffay has announced a new album that will only feature duets.

Cult rocker Peter Maffay (71) has surprisingly announced a new album. This will be called "Peter Maffay and …" and will be released on November 27th. "For me, encounters – especially the musical ones – are landmarks on our path through life," Maffay writes on Instagram. "Seeing a song take on a new interpretation and energy through a duet is a wonderful experience." That is why he is now devoting himself to this topic with an entire best-of album. This should only contain duets.

Who is there?

With 17 songs Maffay looks back on the past 50 years and some of his greatest hits. Also included are "Over Seven Bridges" with the late Herbert Dreilich (1942-2004) from Karat, "Tiefer" with Hartmut Engler (58) from Pur, "Jetzt" with Johannes Oerding (38) and "Diamante" with Zucchero (65).

"With your vocals you will become part of a best-of album", Maffay also promises, indicating that "Forever Young" will also be there in a version in which more than 170 fans can be heard. Maffay had already called for singing together in August and has now released the accompanying single and a matching music video as part of its #GemeinsamGegenEinsam campaign.
