Prince Philip (1921-2021) died in April at the age of 99. Peter Phillips (43) has now with the British BBC talked about the grief after the death of his grandfather. Phillips is the only son of Princess Anne (70) and the eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II (95) and Prince Philip. The deceased is “sorely missed”.
Prince Philip was important to the family
His grandfather was an important part of the family’s life, “and of course it’s sad, of course we miss him,” Phillips continues. The thoughts of the relatives “went straight to my grandmother”, “and we tried to support them as best we could”.
Everyone saw the pictures of the queen, who had to sit alone at the funeral of her long-time husband due to the corona pandemic. The worst thing is not being able to hug your loved ones while they are grieving. “It would have been the same for any other family,” Phillips is sure.
