Actor Peter Schell has died. Born in Switzerland, he was part of the cast of the Black Forest series “Die Fallers” for 27 years.

Actor Peter Schell died on July 22, 2021 after a serious illness in his adopted home Baden-Baden. This was announced by Südwestrundfunk (SWR) in a message on July 23. Schell was part of the SWR series “Die Fallers” for 27 years about the life of a fictional family on a farm in the Black Forest. Artistic director Kai Gniffke (60) explained in a statement: “He has been a member of the ensemble since the first episode ‘Die Fallers’ in 1994 and, as farmer ‘Karl’, had a decisive influence on the series. The SWR had to be one because of his premature death accept a bitter loss. “

Already in the first episode of the Black Forest series from 1994, the native Swiss played “the headstrong, sometimes choleric but lovable young farmer Karl Faller”, as the broadcaster describes Schell’s role. In addition to his involvement in “Die Fallers”, the actor took on roles in “Die Wache” (RTL), “Our Charly” (ZDF) and “Hallo, Unkel Doc!” (Sat 1). Schell was also seen on various theater stages and completed solo appearances and readings.

In “Die Fallers” he will be seen in the role of Karl in the pre-produced series for about a year, as the SWR announced. “Who will be his successor as the Farmer of the Fallerhof will only be announced when the time comes.”
