The BGF Investment GmbH shops promise “highest quality” and “best possible service”. Customers see it differently.

There are serious allegations against BGF Investment GmbH from Fehraltorf in Zurich. This company operates, among other things, the two online shops Pfotenland.ch and Babyparadies-Schweiz.ch. And what is happening in these shops is “real fraud” and we have to warn against it. This is what disappointed customers wrote to the SRF consumer magazine “Espresso”.

The two Swiss shops also come off poorly on the Trustpilot rating platform: “Paws off!” is what the numerous comments say there, “the very worst thing” is that it is a “rip-off” and what is being delivered is “Chinese scrap”. The shops are also already known to the Swiss authorities: When asked by “Espresso”, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) said that it had “received isolated complaints”.

“Highest quality” is promised

The descriptions of those affected are comparable: They paid but did not receive any goods. Or only after an almost endless wait. You are put off and put off for weeks or even months. Many customers also seem to be dissatisfied with the quality of the products. BGF Investment GmbH states that it only offers products of the highest quality.

And what’s more, people are also irritated that the goods are not delivered from Switzerland. “I received a tracking number and realized that the package was coming from China,” says a Pfotenland customer. “If I had known that, I wouldn’t have ordered there.”

“Natural active ingredients” turn out to be insecticides

The woman had ordered two tick collars. According to the description on Pfotenland.ch, these should consist of “natural active ingredients” – a mixture of essential oils. She actually received two collars.

But she then saw on the packaging of one that it contained chemicals such as the insecticide imidacloprid. “That’s exactly what I didn’t want.” Your complaint to Pfotenland was unsuccessful: “They informed me by email that I had received a delivery.”

Address leads to an apartment building

The SRF consumer magazine “Espresso” confronts BGF Investment GmbH with the allegations through various channels. There is no response to the requests. And the Swiss mobile number that is listed on the shop pages doesn’t work for over two weeks: “Target number cannot be reached at the moment.”

A visit to the company’s headquarters in Fehraltorf is also of little use: it is an apartment in an apartment building in a tranquil area. It is opened by a woman who introduces herself as a relative of one of the company’s owners. And it turns out: the man no longer lives there.
