The new documents submitted to justice by the nephew of Philippe de Dieuleveult, who died in 1985, were not enough to convince the Paris prosecutor’s office to open a judicial investigation. Will the truth prevail sooner or later?

Why Philippe de Dieuleveult’s nephew denounces manipulation
“There is a desire not to shed light on this state affair”advances Alexis de Dieuleveult in the columns of the Parisian. He explains: “However, I gave the justice a key document: a death certificate of Philippe signed by the vice-consul of France in Kinshasa.” The official legal document attests to “the formal identity of the body found in the river, as being that of Philippe de Dieuleveult”. And to wonder: “This unpublished document presented to justice for the first time, is for us proof of manipulation: why put Philippe’s name on an unknown body?” For the Compiégnois, the affair had to be stifled in the mid-1980s. “I have also handed over to justice telegrams signed by the French Ambassador to Kinshasadiscovered in 2021, which mention the hypothesis of a military blunder on shipping. The death certificate and these telegrams have never been examined by the courts.” He concludes on a hopeful note: “The truth will prevail.”
