Philips launches the Flip&Juice Blender, for drinks as varied as they are vitaminized

The novelties are definitely numerous at Philips in this spring of 2023, and some are more surprising than others. In addition to a range of robot vacuum cleaners that are certainly well equipped, but quite classic or even its new AirFryer, the Dutchman is also launching a rather original blender. The Flip&Juice HR3770 promises to be able to prepare both smoothies and clear juices thanks to its 2-in-1 bowl.

Knife on one side, juicer on the other

With a useful capacity of 1.8 litres, this Tritan plastic bowl has a fairly standard 4-blade cutter in the bottom, but its lid can be replaced with what looks like a small juicer. In any case, there is a sieve and a small tap. No grater, however. The idea is rather to take advantage of the blade of the blender to reduce the fruits and vegetables to pieces, then turn the bowl over to extract all the juice through the sieve which rotates at high speed.

The operation is therefore a little different from that of a real juicer, and the few recipes added for the device in the NutriU application suggest that it is always better to accompany food with a little water, in order perhaps to avoid ending up with a juice that is too thick. As a result, the taste may not be as intense as that of a pure juice, but the concept remains interesting for those who like to vary the preparations without having the space for dedicated devices. Philips adds that its Blender Flip&Juice offers the choice between juices with or without pulp, and that it is equally suitable for the preparation of nut butter.

1500 W, 12 speeds and 8 programs

To carry out all of these recipes, the device can rely on a technology called ProBlend Ultra. It is actually a set of specificities which extend from the bowl to the motor via the blade and the combination of which must guarantee an optimal and homogeneous mixing of the food. The motor, moreover, displays a power of 1500 W and 8 automatic programs are provided to help users tame it, in addition to 12 speeds.

Philips has also provided a cleaning program to facilitate maintenance and specifies that the Flip&Juice HR3770 includes many removable parts which can go in the dishwasher if a more thorough cleaning is necessary. Finally, note that the device comes with two gourds, also in Tritan, to carry its juices, as well as with a spatula. It is already available on the Philips website for €249.99 and should arrive at retailers in the coming weeks.
