Philips: the FDA validates a remote diagnostic tool

(CercleFinance.com) – Philips announced on Friday that the FDA has approved its ‘Collaboration Live’ remote diagnostics solution for use on various mobile platforms.

Available on Epiq and Affiniti ultrasound systems, the ‘Collaboration Live’ tool allows doctors to collaborate in real time in order to analyze images or formulate a diagnosis.

Healthcare professionals can use text, voice call, screen sharing, webcam streaming, and remote control to provide remote consultations, even for complex exams.

Philips explains that this tool is ideal to avoid exposing caregivers and patients to infectious diseases such as Covid-19.
