Philips unveils its Mini-LED and LED TV series under Titan OS

TP Vision recently held an event in Barcelona to unveil its new range of TVs for 2024. Beyond the previously announced OLED series, the company introduced two new series: the PML9049, dubbed “The Xtra”, and the PUS8909, nicknamed “The One”. These series are distinguished by the use of respectively Mini-LED and LED panels as well as the integration of the Titan OS entertainment system.

A commonality of the two new series is the introduction of Titan OS, an operating system designed to provide an enhanced user experience. This interface, visually close to Google TV, offers a variety of preinstalled applications and the possibility of downloading others. Users will have access to the most popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and MyCanal, promising a huge range of entertainment.

In addition, among other similarities, note that the PML9049 and PUS8909 series integrate Ambilight technology on three sides, with independent LED management for more precise visual immersion. Additionally, they are equipped with four HDMI 2.1 inputs, providing great flexibility for connecting various devices.

Like the 2024 OLED models, these two series also integrate the new Game Bar, allowing gamers to display information about video signals and quickly change certain image parameters, thus optimizing their gaming experience with the possibility of creating profiles for each title. Also note the support for the 144 Hz frequency.
