Phoenix Labs lays off again and cancels all its projects in development


Despite several layoffs during the end of 2023, Phoenix Labs is no longer getting by. A slow descent into hell which results in a new restructuring and changes in objectives, all announced in a LinkedIn post.

Thus, the Canadian studio made the decision to stop all of its games under development, including one which was obviously about to be announced. In total, we are talking about 3 canceled projects but above all, almost 140 layoffs.

To try to save the furniture, Phoenix Labs therefore seems to reduce its teams as much as possible and wants to concentrate on its latest flagship games. So, the remaining team will work exclusively on updates for the hunting action-RPG
Dauntless as well as those of the life simulation game
Fae Farm.
