Photo competition at FOCUS Online: These are the winning photos

Do you love Paris and have nice photos from your travels there? Or do you also live the French way of life at home? With these questions we asked our users to send in their most beautiful France photos and to take part in the big FOCUS Online photo competition. The prices were provided by the French premium brand DS Automobiles.

From hundreds of submissions, the jury has now selected the three best photos in the three categories "Longing for Paris", "Strong Elegance" and "Art de Vivre". The three winners can each drive a DS Crossback for three months, a maximum of 5000 kilometers.

Congratulations! These are the three photos that won the competition:

1. "Longing for Paris"

Whether while strolling, on a boat trip on the Seine or just out and about in the city – this category was about sending in photos that arouse the longing for Paris.

The winner was the photo of Nerin Čauševićthat he made of the most famous building in the city on New Years Day in Paris. Particularly beautiful: the blue sky and the top of the Eiffel Tower still in the fog. The photo immediately triggered what was asked of the jury: Longing for Paris!

2. "Strong elegance"

In this category we looked for photos that convey a special expression of strength and style. Regardless of whether it is an everyday scene, a special experience or a special object. Exceptional aesthetics and elegance were required.

The winner was the photo of Max Echternkamp. Thanks to the special perspective, it has a strong expression and combines the modern and historical part of one of the most famous art museums in the world: the Louvre.

3. "Art de Vivre"

How much French flair and art of living do you find in your everyday life? That was the key question in that category. We were looking for pictures that show how the French lifestyle manifests itself in the everyday life of the participants.

The winning photo of Léa Giacomini and Philipp Grohn is a lovingly arranged still life with a bouquet of flowers, croissant and champagne. We were particularly touched by the story behind it. The participants are namely a German-French couple who met while studying in France and now lives in Germany. Since regular visits to Paris are no longer necessary due to the current situation, the two regularly celebrate the French way of life with a champagne breakfast in bed.

Congratulations to the three winners, who can now use one of these two electric vehicles free of charge for three months (maximum 5000 kilometers):

  • DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 4×4; the hybrid SUV with an output of 220 kW / 300 PS has all-wheel drive and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds; Consumption / emissions 1.6 l / 100 km, 36 g CO₂ / km. The purely electric range is 58 km.

We have notified the winners. The judges' decision is final.
