Photo inspiration – Check out the winning images from the Nature Photographer of the Year competition
On the occasion of the 7th edition of Nature Photographer of the Year, the members of the jury received 20,952 images to sort, from photographers from 96 countries, a record for this competition. In addition to the Grand Prize, the competition designates winners in 13 categories.
The big winner is therefore Russian photographer Dmitry Kokh for his atypical shot of polar bears visiting an abandoned Soviet village on the island of Kolioutchin, near the Arctic Circle in northeastern Russia. He also won prizes in the Man and Nature and Animal Portraits categories for his bear shots. Small originality, his images were taken using a drone, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro, safer against bears.
