The World Photography Organization has given its verdict for 2022. In the professional category, Australian Adam Ferguson wins the Photographer of the Year award. We invite you to discover the different winners.
The 2022 edition of the Sony World Photography Awards has delivered its verdicts. The opportunity for us to present to you in pictures the different winners by category. This year, the jury chose to reward the work of Australian photographer Adam Ferguson for his series Migrants on people waiting to cross the border between Mexico and the United States. Her Photographer of the Year award comes with $25,000 and Sony camera gear.
The competition also includes 10 categories, each rewarding a series of photos: architecture and design; creative ; documentary projects; environment ; countryside ; portfolio; portrait; sport ; still life; wildlife and nature. Prizes were also awarded to the Best Student Photographer, the Best Young and in the Open category.
All the photographers awarded this year will then be exhibited at Somerset House in London, from April 13 to May 2, 2022.
