A strong image. This Tuesday, June 18, the Royal Ascot kicked off under azure skies. On this occasion, several members of the English royal family headed to west London to encourage the jockeys and greet the crowd. After attending Trooping the Color last Saturday, King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, dressed all in blue, opened the ball by arriving in a magnificent carriage. More surprising: Lady Gabriella Windsor joined the royal procession in the company of Princess Anne. The monarch’s second cousin thus honored her with her presence, almost four months after the death of her husband, Thomas Kingston, who died at the age of 45 at the end of February.
Dressed in an elegant floral dress and wearing a large powder pink hat, the daughter of Michael and Marie-Christine de Kent greeted onlookers with a serene air and a dazzling smile. Behind the scenes, the pretty forty-year-old was comforted by Zara Tindall, who gave her a warm hug. A tender gesture once again marking the mourning that Lady Gabriella Windsor is still going through since the disappearance of her dear one. As a reminder, she made her first public appearance since the tragedy a few days ago, during Trooping the Color. A return to the forefront greatly awaited by the English people, as a royal source indicated to the Mail Online on Thursday May 16: “Everyone hopes that Ella will attend the celebrations, if she feels able. This would be a powerful signal of the family’s love and concern for her.”

Lady Gabriella Windsor upset by the death of her husband: she changes her daily life
On February 25, those close to Thomas Kingston announced his sad death, five years after his marriage to Lady Gabriella Windsor: “It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother. Tom was an exceptional man who brightened the lives of all who knew him. His death was a great shock to the entire family and we ask that you respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”In order not to suffer further, the widow of Thomas Kingston then decided to return to live with her parents, Michael de Kent and Marie-Christine von Reibnitz. “They wanted Ella to be with them, and she didn’t want to be alone in the house she shared with Tom”, had confided a close friend of Lady Gabriella Windsor to the Daily Mail.
