Friday, September 27, Valentine Sled took to her Instagram account to announce in a story that she had seen her illustrious father again: “He’s back in Paris!” A culinary journalist by profession, the pretty blonde has pulled out all the stops to receive her distinguished guest: candles, designer pepper pot, pretty tableware and of course delicious dishes, such as eggs à la mayonnaise revisited. “I spent 24 hours cooking just for him”, proudly declared the young woman behind the culinary blog Sled and Pepper in description of a photo of Pierre Sled happily seated at a table. A beautiful moment of sharing between father and daughter.

Pierre and Valentine Sled: cooking, a family affair
If Valentine Sled flourishes in her profession and has the opportunity to work on numerous shows like The Best Pastry Chef in his capacity as a culinary journalist, his father also decided to add his stone to the building. More accustomed to covering sporting events, Pierre Sled has in fact decided to display his love for gastronomy by giving cooking and tasting classes through the platform Weekend in Romeco-founded by his Italian wife. “You will leave with all the tips for cooking Italian antipasti for your loved ones, real carbonara (without crème fraîche or onions!), pasta alle vongole or other typical Italian recipe, and the famous tiramisu. Furthermore, sharing a good meal with his two grown children, but also his ex-wife Sophie Davant, when he returns to France, has become a real tradition for the 66-year-old journalist, as his daughter confided Valentine with Gala.fr in 2022: “As soon as he comes, the tradition is that the four of us have dinner, with him, my mother, my brother and me.” And to clarify: “Since they divorced, it’s something that we have never lost. We’ve always done that and it’s very nice to have been able to maintain this framework.”
