It’s an event that the most sports enthusiasts among us would not want to miss: in a few months the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be held. Friday April 5, Yaël Braun-Pivet, the president of the National Assembly , went to the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (INSEP) to interact with athletes and coaches from the different centers. And the least we can say is that this mother of five children gave of herself: dressed as a fencer, she tried this discipline against Émeric Clos, the national coach of the French foil team!
In a video that she shared on Instagram the day of her visit, we see her putting on the appropriate equipment (the body, hands and head must be protected) before giving a demonstration of this combat sport, weapon in hand! The one who experienced a great scare on a plane on which Anne Hidalgo was also on board also spoke with the coaches of the gymnastics, aquatics and medical centers. In the caption which accompanies this short video, the trained lawyer recalled the importance that this trip had, in her eyes: “Supporting our athletes for Paris 2024 means being at their side, in the National Assembly as well as on the training ground!”

Comfortable in the world of sport, Yaël Braun-Pivet is also comfortable when she comes into contact with celebrities. On September 20, she was present at the state dinner given in honor of King Charles III, in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, on the occasion of the British sovereign’s visit to France. Among the hundred guests, notably composed of singers, political figures, athletes and actors, was Mick Jagger. Neither one nor two, the politician did not hesitate to ask him for a selfie, as she confided the next day in C to you (France 5): “I couldn’t resist, when I saw it coming, I said to myself: ‘It’s incredible that I find myself in the same room as [lui].’ So I abandoned the mayor of Versailles, I abandoned my husband and I went for it!”
