A Mika concert is necessarily synonymous with a supercharged atmosphere and impressive staging. His show on March 25, 2024 in Paris is further proof of this, he set the Accor Arena, formerly called Bercy, on fire. The 40-year-old artist transcended his audience and did it again the next day in Luxembourg and then in Geneva. Expected this evening in Amsterdam then in Brussels on the 31st, he will also be in Brest on April 16th then in Bourges for the well-known festival on the 24th. A tour called “Apocalyspe Calypso” which accompanies the release of his latest album Que ta tête fleure aussi , a disc entirely in French.

In Paris this Monday, Mika filled the room without much difficulty in front of his 16,000 fans who came in disguise. He himself looked resplendent, as evidenced by our exclusive photos in our slideshow above. The motto was to party and the spectators were not disappointed by the show! The juror and coach of The Voice was faithful to his reputation as an entertainer as recounted The Parisian who went to the concert: “An imp with outstretched wings, Mika opens the ball with two new high-energy songs, the aptly named Dansez and Apocalypse Calypso. Its cage opens in two, releasing the bird, which flies in all directions, in unison with the Parisian arena. His four musicians, all in pink costumes, surround him on mobile platforms.

Still as much of a showman as the daily points out, Mika pays homage to the late Jane Birkin, starting the melody of Je t’aime moi non plus on the piano. But he’s not the only one with surprises: “During Andy [chanson qui porte le nom de son compagnon], another new title, his fans surprise him by creating a multi-colored fresco with their smartphones and small pieces of paper of different colors. ‘Oh fuckhe blurted out upon discovering it. You’ve created a rainbow!’“, reports the daily.

Mika, both showman and wounded man

I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have always brought me out of the dark, in my personal life and in general”, confesses Mika. His life has not always been filled with the glitter that he throws on stage, he was the victim of school bullying, his sister Paloma almost died after an accidental fall and his mother died in 2021. On stage, he transcends his challenges and spreads joy. He finished on We are goldenshirtless and sweaty and nothing can stop him from dancing with the flames.
