On Monday May 6, 2024, stars from the four corners of the globe posed on the famous Met Gala red carpet. Among them, several French celebrities, including Aya Nakamura, Isabelle Huppert, Léna Mahfouf, and Olivier Rousteing. If many celebrities made the trip, one was missing: Rihanna. The artist had to cancel his visit at the last moment due to the flu.
Among the guests who shone on the red carpet was Kim Kardashian. This year, the star participated in her 11th edition of the Met Gala. And like every year, she opted for a look that does not go unnoticed. To honor the “Garden of Time” theme, Kim chose a custom dress from Maison Margiela, made by John Galliano from silver metallic lace.

The outfit consists of a bodice decorated with floral details (reminiscent of evening time) and a silver chainmail dress also with flower motifs. On top, Kim opted for a gray bolero cardigan. And if the look is so surprising, it’s because it reveals the model’s wasp waist.
Every year, Kim Kardashian parades at the Met Gala in body-hugging dresses, like in 2023, where she wore Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress, or last year, with her “second skin” silhouette. Once again, Kim Kardashian made a strong impression.
The whole Kardashian family in the spotlight
For this new edition of the Met Gala, the whole Kardashian family made the trip: Kim, Kendall, Kylie and their mother, Kris Jenner. Kendall opted for an archive Givenchy by Alexander McQueen piece, from 1999. The dress, with shoulder pads and a cutout midriff, is adorned with 100,000 hand-embroidered beads and sequins, as revealed Vogue.
For her part, Kylie, Kim Kardashian’s other sister, chose a more voluminous dress. This outfit by Oscar de la Renta reveals conical breasts and a cream-colored train. Finally, Kris Jenner also opted for the same fashion house as her daughter. The mother of the Kardashian sisters appeared on the red carpet wearing a white dress and a long coat with embroidered flowers on the shoulders.
Last year, the three sisters also opted for different styles. Kim had chosen a corset outfit from Schiaparelli, Kendall had climbed the stairs in a black bodysuit by Marc Jacobs, and finally, Kylie appeared more dazzling than ever in a red dress with a washing cape, by Jean-Paul Gaultier.
