Hamas claims that the massacres only targeted soldiers

Pictures and videos from October 7th show: The terrorist organization Hamas committed targeted atrocities against civilians. In a report that has now been published, the Islamists are trying to declare the attack as a defense. The killing of children, women and babies were therefore “mistakes”.

The Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas has presented a 16-page report in which it attempts to justify the massacre in the Israeli border area on October 7th. The attack on Israel by thousands of terrorists is described in the report as a “necessary step and normal response to oppose all Israeli conspiracies against the Palestinian people and their cause.” Although the vast majority of the approximately 1,200 deaths were civilians, the terrorist organization claims that the sole target of the attack was Israeli soldiers.

“Preventing harm to civilians – especially children, women and the elderly – is a religious and moral obligation of all Al-Aqsa Brigades (Hamas’ armed wing) fighters,” the report said. However, many children, women and elderly people were among those killed on October 7 and more than 250 people kidnapped in the Gaza Strip. Hamas claimed that if civilians were killed, it was accidental and in combat with Israeli troops. However, video footage from the terrorists’ body cameras shows targeted atrocities against civilians.

The report went on to say that “mistakes” may have occurred during the massive attack on the border towns. However, Hamas explained this with “the rapid collapse of Israel’s security and military system and the chaos caused in the towns bordering the Gaza Strip.” Hamas continued to claim that many Israelis had been killed by its own side.

Hamas rejects two-state solution

Israeli media had reported, based on witness statements, that in one case on October 7, around a dozen Israeli hostages were killed in Kibbutz Beeri when an Israeli tank fired on a house where numerous terrorists were also staying. The army doesn’t want to clarify this until after the war.

Despite ample evidence, Hamas denied that terrorists had committed massive sexual violence against women and men and that people had been mutilated. Hamas described the October 7 massacre as an “act of defense to get rid of Israeli occupation, on the path to liberation and independence, like all peoples of the world.” However, the militant Islamist organization rejects a two-state solution, according to which an independent Palestinian state should exist peacefully alongside Israel.

Hamas instead seeks the destruction of Israel. Israel responded to the worst massacre in its history with massive air strikes and a ground offensive in the Gaza Strip. Since then, more than 25,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip, according to the Hamas-controlled health authority. According to the UN, around 70 percent of them are women and minors.
