Pierce Brosnan becomes Dr. Fate: The ex “James Bond” actor will play the DC character in the movie “Black Adam” alongside Dwayne Johnson.

He already played James Bond, now Pierce Brosnan (67) is becoming a superhero. The actor is said to be playing the role of DC character Dr. Fate hatching and is in this according to “The Hollywood Reporter” next to Dwayne Johnson (48) in the movie “Black Adam”. Dr. Fate also becomes a founding member of the Justice Society of America. Also there are Aldis Hodge (34) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (24) as Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell (24) as Cyclone. Production of “Black Adam”, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (47), is slated to begin in April.

Brosnan, who starred four times as James Bond from 1995 to 2002, is likely to have magical powers in “Black Adam”. Kent Nelson, also known as Dr. Fate, is the son of an archaeologist who was trained in magic and who owns a magical helmet. Dr. Fate is one of DC’s oldest characters, first appearing in a 1940 comic book.
