Ihe was a traveling companion of François Mitterrand, whom he joined in the early 1960s within the Convention of Republican Institutions, and one of his closest friends. The former Minister of the Interior and then of Defense of Michel Rocard knows all about political cooking. Although he has been out of business for quite a few years (he is, at 88, a lawyer at the Paris bar), Joxe remains an attentive observer of the left. The author of theAtlas of socialismpublished in the early 1970s, book for Point his analysis on the PS and the Nupes, of which he underlines the benefits: the gathering of all the left, the only way in his eyes to gain power.
