After spending several weeks in intensive care, Pierre Ménès smiled again. The journalist married Mélissa Acosta, his companion for many years.
White notebook! This Friday, June 24, Pierre Ménès married the one who has shared his life for many years, Mélissa Acosta at a ceremony with their loved ones. “Finally! Husband and wife. A wonderful evening at our house with our friends. A flash of happiness in very hard times at all levels. But you are always by my side, my rock, my strength, my love”, wrote the sports journalist on his Instagram account in caption of a photo of the bride and groom. For years, Mélissa Acosta has been an essential support for Pierre Ménès. She has always been by his side when he was accused of sexual assaults such as when he was hospitalized for a double liver and kidney transplant in 2016.
“My companion carried me at arm’s length literally and figuratively because she got me up off the couch to go to bed, confided Pierre Ménès in 2017 in the columns of Entertainment TV. I will never have words to tell him how grateful I am. She’s an extremely positive person, she’s really a warrior. And she gave me for weeks the strength that I no longer had.” Accused of sexual assault and harassment, especially after the broadcast of the report I am not a slutPierre Ménès was removed from Canal+ where he worked. In distress, the journalist confided to TV Star that his family suffered from this situation. “My companion, my mother, my children, who also suffer enormously, he assured then. I also received support from my true friends.”
Pierre Ménès: “I spent three weeks in intensive care”
But his health is still worrying. While his trial was to begin on June 8, he was postponed to March 8, 2023. “I spent three weeks in intensive care. I got out of it four weeks ago. It was linked to a general infection that affected my heart, my kidneys, my lungs, my brain. So I did a battery of tests: MRI, scanner, colonoscopy, kidney biopsy… I’m not a pretty sight, confided Pierre Ménès to the Parisian. The doctors aren’t sure what I have yet. But excuse me for working! If I had been able to come, I would have come. My doctor is convinced that my state of health is directly linked to my legal troubles.” The former Canal Football Club columnist is sued by three women for sexual assault : two saleswomen from the Nike store on the Champs-Élysées, for facts dating back to June 2018 and a hostess from the Parc des Princes, for facts dating back to November 2021. He still strongly contests the accusations against him .
