The day after his placement in pre-trial detention, comedian Pierre Palmade gave himself up to investigators and gave further details on the circumstances surrounding the serious road accident he caused on February 10. The comedian admitted to heavy drug use.

Two weeks ago, Pierre Palmade said he had only “few memories” of the serious road accident he caused on February 10. But this Tuesday, the 54-year-old actor, placed the day before in pre-trial detention, nevertheless provided many details to the investigators on the circumstances surrounding this tragedy which seriously injured three people including a pregnant woman who lost her baby.

Under the influence of narcotics at the time of the facts, the comedian admitted to having consumed drugs for three days before the accident. A period of time during which he would not have slept. Pierre Palmade also says he performed about eight injections of 3MMC, this new synthetic drug, close to cocaine. The last take would have taken place only 30 minutes before the tragedy. Revelations confirmed by the two other occupants of the vehicle driven by the comedian.

“I am dangerous because of drugs”

Pierre Palmade also admits having consumed cocaine in small quantities as well as two glasses of alcohol. Confessions confirmed by toxicological analyzes carried out after the accident. The actor also claims to have asked one of his passengers to read an SMS that had just arrived on his cell phone just before the shock. Distracted, Pierre Palmade would then have suddenly deviated to the left, then hitting the vehicle which was coming in front.

The artist also admitted that he sometimes drove under the influence of narcotics, although he would have done so only very rarely. He expressed his shame and his desire to stop all use. “I’m dangerous because of drugs. I’m a nice guy, I’m a good person,” he added. Pierre Palmade had already been sentenced in 2019 for drug use.
