Singer Pietro Lombardi (31) and his fiancée Laura Maria Rypa (28) are currently expecting their second child together. And now both stars know what gender their baby is: It’s going to be a boy again. With a sweet surprise, the influencer revealed to her partner whether a boy or a girl is growing in her belly. The two shared some of that a video on their Instagram channels.

In the video, Lombardi and Rypa can be seen sitting in front of the television and watching the iconic “Lion King” scene in which Simba is held in the air by the mandrill monkey Rafiki. However, this is edited in such a way that at the end it is revealed which gender of baby the expectant parents can look forward to.

Excited about Pietro’s reaction

Laura Maria Rypa explains why she decided against a gender reveal party in the comment to the post: “This time we didn’t want a big celebration, we wanted to have this special moment just for the two of us.” She was incredibly excited, even though she already knew it – “because of Pietro’s reaction to the video.” After the news, the singer first slapped his hands on his face, then hugged his pregnant fiancée.

He had wanted a girl

The 28-year-old had already revealed in advance that her partner would have liked a girl this time. The two have son Leano (1) together, and Lombardi is also the father of son Alessio (8) from his relationship with singer Sarah Engels (31). He now commented on the gender reveal video: “Let’s continue with three boys. I’ll love them forever, but I’m not giving up. Next time it’ll be a girl.” So family planning doesn’t seem to be finished yet…

Pietro Lombardi and Laura Maria Rypa have been engaged to each other since 2022. Their son was born in 2023. He was previously married to Sarah Engels from 2013 to 2019. The former couple met through participating in “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” and were in the final together in the eighth season. They got together in 2011 and broke up in 2016.
