On Wednesday evening RTLzwei shows the 100th "Love Island" episode. Pietro Lombardi is heating up the islanders for the anniversary.
Surprise in the RTLzwei dome show "Love Island" (10:15 pm): Edel fan Pietro Lombardi (28) celebrates the broadcast of the 100th episode with the Islanders and performs for them in the love villa.
"Neither of us knew what was in store for us"
On September 11, 2017, the first episode of the dome show flickered across the screens. The fifth season is currently on television. Moderator Jana Ina Zarrella (44) has been with us from the start and remembers her first job on the set well. "Before the very first 'Love Island' episode, I was very excited. It was all new and neither of us knew what was in store."
"Love Island" voice Simon Beeck (40) also looks back at the beginning of the anniversary: "I was shocked in love. There was once a reality format on television that doesn't take itself as seriously as all the other dating formats . "
Lombardi is a big fan
Lombardi is one of the most prominent fans of the show. During the commercial breaks he reported live from his living room and commented on the events in the villa with "Love Island" presenter Jana Ina.
In 2019, Lombardi even fell in love with one of the candidates. But there were no more than two dates between him and Melissa Damilia (25) at the time. Damilia then found great happiness as a "Bachelorette". She is still in a relationship with the winner Leander Sacher.
In the current fifth season, Lombardi did not let his fans down and already loudly gave his assessments of the new episodes that have been broadcast since March 8th. Last Tuesday he dropped the bomb: The musician revealed that he was flying to the shooting of the spring season, which is currently taking place in Tenerife.
