Pirates of the Caribbean returns like you’ve never seen it before

While waiting for new films, Disney’s iconic Pirates of the Caribbean license must soon make an unexpected return, to say the least, which became known earlier than expected.

This collaboration was the subject of leaks a few months ago, confirmed yesterday: Pirates of the Caribbean will make a stop on Fortnite on July 19. But these mischievous characters took advantage of a game update to arrive a month earlier than expected, via a dedicated Battle Pass.

Pirates of the Caribbean makes an early landing in Fortnite

Through its next Battle Pass on the theme of “Cursed Sails”, Epic’s phenomenon game will be allocating the services of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Players will therefore be able to face their opponents in the shoes of Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, Elizabeth Swann or Barbossa. Some can already do so, this Pass having been temporarily accessible by mistake by slipping into the latest update of the game, called “Reload”. This adds a new game mode at a frenetic pace involving 40 players.

The finest blades indeed had time to acquire the Pass in question, before he was arrested. They have already unlocked the appearance of Jack Sparrow, in his classic style as in LEGO. For the rest of the freshwater sailors, however, we will have to wait until July 19 to raise the colors of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Likewise, those who already have the Pass will no longer be able to progress until its actual release date. The rest of the Pass would also contain goodies related to the license, such as weapon skins, emotes or icons.

Here is at least a way for fans of the iconic Disney license to wait for the American giant’s next productions. Pirates of the Caribbean reportedly has two films in the works. Whether these involve the very popular Johnny Depp remains uncertain for the moment. At least fans will be able to play as one of its most iconic characters in Fortnite next month. Between that and rum, you have to choose what form your consolation takes.
