Bryan Adams photographed singer Cher in LA for the Pirelli 2022 calendar. He also shot Rita Ora and Jennifer Hudson.
The Canadian singer Bryan Adams (61, “Summer of ’69”) staged some of the greatest artists from the world of music for the Pirelli 2022 calendar in various locations. According to the tire manufacturer, his shots on the subject of “On The Road” were mainly made in Los Angeles, California.
The Oscar winners Cher (75, “Moonstruck”) and Jennifer Hudson (39, “Dreamgirls”), the “Godfather of Punk” Iggy Pop (74), Rita Ora (30), Elon Musk friend Grimes (33), Normani (25), St. Vincent (38), Kali Uchis (27) and Bohan Phoenix were photographed in the streets of the city, in the Palace Theater and in the Chateau Marmont Hotel. The photos of rapper Saweetie (28), on the other hand, were taken in the Hotel La Scalinatella on the Italian island of Capri.
Pirelli comeback after a year off
The Pirelli calendar, also known as “The Cal”, has been published since 1964 and is considered a collector’s item. Pirelli hires great photographers year after year: Helmut Newton, Karl Lagerfeld, Peter Lindbergh and Annie Leibovitz have already been behind the camera for the calendar. In 2021 there was no new Pirelli calendar due to the corona pandemic. Instead, the tire manufacturer donated 100,000 euros for virus research.
