Piscines Desjoyaux posts stable revenue for the 2022 financial year – 12/16/2022 at 6:14 pm

(AOF) – Piscines Desjoyaux announces that its consolidated turnover for the 2022 financial year is stable and stands at 160.5 million euros against 160.9 million euros for the 2021 financial year. EBITDA stands at 34 million euros and thus represents more than 21% of sales. Its operating profit represents 17.46% of turnover this year, compared to 21.75% in the previous financial year. Its net profit (share) amounts to 21.3 million euros or 13.3% of turnover compared to 25.5 million euros for the financial year ended 08/31/2021, a decrease of 16.5% .

The group posted an operating profit of 28.18 million euros, down from the previous year. This change is the result of several factors: a decrease in “core business” sales volumes; and an increase in purchases consumed and a deterioration in the operating margin.

Equity reached 109.9 million euros at 08/31/2022 compared to 98.02 million euros at 08/31/2021. Their profitability is close to 20% against 26% for the previous financial year.

The net cash flow generated by the activity is 15 million euros against 31 million euros for the previous financial year. The “net gearing” ratio is -29.35%.

On the outlook front, the Group wants to be cautious and would be satisfied with a consolidation of the latest achievements in view of the current geopolitical and health context. The group is working on this consolidation in several major areas: modernization and automation of the logistics and industrial process; establishment of a new R&D center modernization and automation of the plastic manufacturing process; and restoration of operating margins.

World tourism still on the rise

Over the first nine months of 2022, 700 million tourists traveled internationally, more than double (+133%) the figure recorded for the same period in 2021. This figure reached 63% of 2019 levels , which should allow the sector to reach 65% of its pre-pandemic levels in 2022. This result is due to a strong level of demand and the gradual lifting of restrictions in a large number of countries. Europe is significantly supporting this rebound with the arrival of 477 million people between January and September 2022 (68% of the global total), reaching 81% of the pre-covid level. Tourism there is driven by strong intra-regional demand and travel from the United States. Some destinations recorded notable increases in receipts, including Serbia, Romania, Turkey, Latvia, Portugal, Pakistan, Mexico, Morocco and France.
