Google has presented two new smartphone models. These are Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Google wants to conquer the smartphone market with two new models. The company announced the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on October 19th.
The devices have been redesigned and will each be available in three different colors. The cheaper Pixel 6 comes in “Stormy Black”, “Sorta Seafoam” and “Kinda Coral”. In addition to a black version of the Pro model, there will also be “Sorta Sunny” and “Cloudy White”. There are also suitable cases. With the Pixel 6 Pro, the developers found inspiration in surfaces that are found in jewelry or watches, explains the company in a new blog post.
Google sees the Pixel 6 as an “all-round smartphone”. When it comes to the cameras used, the tech giant speaks of the most advanced cameras that have been built into Google devices to date. Among other things, there are new ultra-wide-angle lenses. The Pro model also offers a telephoto lens with 20x zoom and 4x optical zoom.
Energy-saving mode offers a runtime of up to 48 hours
Inside the smartphones based on Android 12, Google Tensor, the company’s first proprietary processor, is at work. The Pixel 6 offers a 6.4-inch display, the Pro a 6.7-inch display. And the battery should last the whole day. The devices should automatically learn which apps are used frequently and which are used less frequently. The use of the battery should then be restricted for less important applications. In extreme energy-saving mode, the runtime should even be up to 48 hours.
The Pixel 6 variant will cost 649 euros, the Pro model is available from 899 euros. The new smartphones will be available from October 28th. The devices can already be pre-ordered.
