Pixel 6a: Google phone overheating

After the Pixel 6 and the Pro variant, which were launched in October 2021, the slightly slimmed down Pixel 6a will soon be in stores. The Google phone will be available from July 28, 2022. Even before the official start a problem becomes apparent, some of which we already know from other Pixel smartphones. Apparently, Google has problems with heat development.

The difficulties have been noticed in a pre-release version of the cell phone. The tech YouTubers at Izami Gadget just wanted to compare the Pixel 6a’s photo and video capabilities to those of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. After just a few minutes of intensive camera use, they realized that the Pixel 6a unusually warm became. The heat development was particularly noticeable on the metal frame, they say.

The Pixel 6a then noticed that it was getting too hot and asked the user to close the camera app (Source: Izami Gadget on YouTube). Such warnings were also issued for the Pixel 6 (Pro) and the direct predecessor of the Pixel 6a, the Pixel 5a. It is to be hoped that Google will get the problems under control before publication.

These features are unique to Pixel phones:

Pixel 6a with better fingerprint sensor

The sometimes leisurely responsive fingerprint sensor in the Pixel 6 (Pro) is still the subject of criticism. With the Pixel 6a, however, Google has probably done a great job, as another preview video shows. The upcoming Google smartphone has a new fingerprint sensor that the Pixel 6a unlock noticeably faster leaves.
